For centuries, people have relaxed and unwound
aided by the serene sounds of water gardens. The musical tinkle of a small
waterfall or fountain is one of life's most peaceful sounds.
The creation of these beautiful garden features
is possible because of a revolutionary technique developed by August Urdl,
a Delray Beach concrete manufacturer. Urdl devised a method of creating lifelike
"rocks" of hollow precast concrete--a technique used today by many manufacturers.
Completely handmade from concrete, these hollow rocks are one-fifth the weight
of natural rock and are custom-made to house outdoor speakers or low-voltage
outdoor lighting, or to create water walls, waterfalls and other yard
features.
