Urdl’s is a full service rock and waterfall company started in 1961 by August (Gus) Urdl ( as in hurdle). As an Austrian immigrant, Mr. Urdl brought the European quality of great craftsmanship and applied it to “his” rocks. He was probably the “father” of the man made rock business.

Since then we have been making handmade rocks, precast waterfalls and custom waterfall installations. We offer expert consultations, total hydraulic and structural design service and complete in-house construction of swimming pools, fish ponds, lagoons, grottos, rockscapes, waterfalls and fountains.

Urdls sells to the trade and the public our man made boulders and waterfalls. We also supply ponds, pumps, filters, lights and other accessories. We subcontract to pool contractors for their waterfall installations and as Certified Commercial Swimming Pool Contractors we can build most water features in house.

Our rocks are made of inert polyethylene reinforced concrete, approximately 3/4” thick. They are hand crafted in molds taken from real rocks and formations. These rocks are very strong, durable, and because of the concrete and the molding process they look very realistic.

Urdls rocks come in various color shades as a standard. If you would like them in a particular color; give us a sample or photo. There is never an additional charge for this service. If you want them in plain concrete color, we will do that too.
